Medicinal Plant Sale

Saturday, September 13th we will wrap up another year at the Medicine Garden Nursery with lots of great Medicinal Plants! We will be around from 10a to 3p, 20495A South Geiger Rd in Oregon City. As the cool, wet weather returns, we approach the best time for planting. We still have an amazing selection and there will be half-price table as well! Plus, I love talking plants! And this is a great time to do so, as it is fresh in our minds, of what worked and what didn’t in the garden. Come on by and see what new plant friends you should add.

And stay tuned as our Harvest Festival is coming up in October!, Here we move from being a plant nursery and bring in tons of dried herb, frozen fruits of Elder, Hawthorn and Milky Oats, and freshly dug medicinal roots like Ashwagandha and Elecampane. All of these are organically grown on the farm in Oregon City.

Community Day

Want to come hang out at the Medicine Garden Farm and see what’s growing?! This year we will host community members to come tour the farm and nursery! we will also take on a larger land project together while we all discuss the magic of plants, learn about growing medicine and grow our community of plant people!

Our next gathering will be on Friday, March 28th from 10 to 2:30. To keep things to a manageable size, I am asking folks to email if they are able to come. I will also work to arrange carpools from Portland and Oregon City. Let me know if you have any questions or ideas.

If this option doesn’t work I will have nursery sales and other events as the year unfolds.

Offerings

Hey Plant People! For the month of April, I am offering a special for those wanting to get going with a Medicinal Garden. For just $120 I will deliver 10 medicinal plant starts, seeds and hang out for 60 minutes in your garden getting you all the know how to be successful with your new plant friends! We can also ID plants or weeds in your space, identify microclimates in your landscape so we can find suitable places for your plant friends, etc. Really, however you’d like to use the time to grow better. This is a great time for this offering as spring is just around the corner!

I have selected 10 plants for their ease of growing in the northwest as well as covering basic medicinal needs of a household. Included in this package you will be getting 4-inch starts of Skullcap, Echinacea, Mugwort, Marshmallow, Comfrey, Arnica, Blue Vervain, Elecampane, Meadowsweet and Yarrow. I'm also colluding a seed pack for some easy to grow annuals that you can just scatter about in the winter. I promise these will come! Here I am including borage, Calendula and California Poppy.
