The Nursery

Another facet of our work at the Medicine Garden is getting people plant starts to grow their own medicine. While medicinal plants are growing in popularity there are still some that are hard to come by. Plus, with our small-scale nursery devoting its energy exclusively to medicinals you can be sure that our plants were properly raised with an eye toward quality medicine and healthy plants. Below you will find a complete list of the plants we are offering in 2024. Note plants with asterisks are not quite ready yet for the year. Most of these will be ready in May. Please feel free to contact us for the latest on availability.

To Order Plants: This season, pre-paid orders can be picked up at 240 SE 87th in Portland. Send along your request to gardeningformedicine@yahoo.com. I will make sure I have everything you are after then send along a request for funds. Orders can be picked up most days with a day’s notice. Let me know what is best for you!

Once a month we host a Medicinal Marketplace or two! Depending on the season we offer medicinal plant starts as well as various other medicinal plant material and preparations all grown and made here on the farm. These gatherings also entail free medicinal gardening tours, herbal teas, a community of plant people and advice galore. Our next sale is Saturday, May 4th. Click here for more details.
